SUMMARY:UAE Corporate Tax Workshop
DESCRIPTION:On January 31\, 2022\, the Ministry of Finance in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced the implementation of a federal corporate tax regime\, effective for financial years starting on or after June 1\, 2023. This new corporate tax law is applicable to all businesses and commercial activities in the UAE\, with a few exceptions such as government-owned companies and natural resource enterprises. \nOur distinguished speaker for this event is Mr. Pankaj S. Jain\, who brings two decades of extensive experience in India\, Europe\, and the UAE. His expertise spans the entire spectrum of taxation\, including VAT\, corporate tax\, transfer pricing\, tax controversy management\, and resolution. \nMr. Jain leads the team at AskPankaj Tax Advisors\, a Dubai-based company. AskPankaj provides advice to UAE companies on tax implementation\, business structuring\, and compliance. Previously\, Mr. Jain served as the National Head of Taxation at Coca-Cola India and as the Tax Head for Kohler India. His experience also includes advisory roles on UK/European VAT with KPMG Belfast\, Northern Ireland. Mr. Jain has worked with esteemed organizations such as Deloitte\, PwC\, and Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan. \nDuring this workshop\, Mr. Jain will delve into the benefits and processes of small business relief (SBR)\, issues and challenges related to owners’ salaries\, compliance points for free zone tax incentives\, and tax accounting issues.
