KE BLR hosts VisionX in collaboration with Rachana, MCC Bank, Daijiworld

Mangaluru, May 18: “What if more young people chose to build businesses… instead of waiting for opportunities?”

That question sat at the heart of VisionX Mangalore 2026.
After successful editions in Bangalore and Goa, Kanara Entrepreneurs, in collaboration with Rachana, MCC bank Ltd and Daijiworld.com, hosted an inspiring entrepreneurship initiative for Christian youth in Mangalore on 17th May 2026 at MCC Bank Administrative Building.

The program aimed to encourage more young people to explore entrepreneurship as a serious and impactful career path, while creating stronger participation from the community in India’s growing startup ecosystem.

The session began with a prayer by Fr. Rocky D’Cunha, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.
Chief Guest Michael D’Souza shared powerful insights on the fundamentals of business and explained the “Business Triangle,” emphasizing that while capital, knowledge, and value creation drive organisations, strong foundations are built on hard work, integrity, perseverance, commitment, reputation, accountability, and discipline.

Walter Dsouza Nandalike reflected on his entrepreneurial journey and encouraged participants to continuously “Update, Upgrade & Uplift” themselves to stay relevant in a changing business environment.
Roy Castelino highlighted the importance of domain expertise, marketing, customer service, and the growing support ecosystem now available for aspiring entrepreneurs in Mangalore.
Anil Lobo shared practical insights into banking and business financing, while also speaking about the importance of discipline and ethics in managing finances. He also shared that MCC Bank is exploring dedicated support initiatives for budding entrepreneurs.
Pramod DSouza gave participants a practical understanding of startup funding, business valuation, and what investors typically look for in founders and business ideas.

An interactive “Idea to Action” workshop was conducted by Leena Lobo, Rohit Fernandes, and Jyoti Menezes. Participants worked in teams to build startup concepts and present the “Why, How & What” behind their ideas, while also practicing elevator pitches, networking conversations, and investor-style questioning.

Among the participating teams, ‘Summit Group’ won recognition for the strongest overall idea and presentation, while ‘Crop Cycle’ received appreciation for the best pitch and ‘We Care’ stood out for presenting a compelling “Why” behind their business concept.
The event was compered by Leslie Rego along with Jyoti Menezes. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Zaveena Lobo.

VisionX Mangalore reflected the power of collaboration between entrepreneurs, institutions, investors, and community leaders in building the next generation of changemakers and business leaders.
