Dubai, October 24, 2026 — Kanara Entrepreneurs (KE) Dubai hosted a members’ event titled “Healthcare 4.0 – Reimagining Healthcare Through AI, Innovation & Entrepreneurship” at TIME Oak Hotel & Suites, TECOM, bringing together entrepreneurs and professionals to explore how artificial intelligence, digital technologies and new business models are reshaping healthcare.
The session examined how emerging technologies can improve patient care, expand access to specialised medical services and create new opportunities for entrepreneurship and investment across the Gulf and other emerging markets.
The highlight of the evening was a presentation by Dr. Siddiq Anwar, Consultant Transplant Nephrologist and Clinical Professor of Medicine at King’s College Hospital London – Dubai.
Drawing on his clinical, research and entrepreneurial experience, Dr. Anwar highlighted the opportunity for professionals and entrepreneurs in the Gulf to connect medical expertise, investment and technology across the Gulf, India, Africa and Central Asia.
He discussed some of the major challenges facing healthcare systems, including limited infrastructure, shortages of skilled professionals and unequal access to specialised care, and demonstrated how AI-assisted diagnostics, telemedicine, remote patient monitoring and digitally enabled healthcare delivery can help address these gaps.
At the same time, Dr. Anwar emphasised that technology alone is not sufficient. Successful healthcare innovation requires clinical validation, regulatory compliance, sustainable business models and strong partnerships between clinicians, researchers, technology developers and investors.
Drawing on examples from digital renal care, kidney transplantation, AI-assisted medical training and the RenAIssance AI Research Laboratory, he demonstrated how technology can be translated from research and experimentation into practical solutions capable of improving patient outcomes.
The discussion also highlighted opportunities for entrepreneurs and professionals based in the Gulf to use the region’s international networks, investment ecosystem and technological capabilities to develop and scale healthcare solutions for emerging markets.
The evening began with an introduction to KE Dubai’s mission and its continuing focus on entrepreneurship, learning and collaboration. Dorothy Fernandes, President of KE Dubai, welcomed members and encouraged them to remain curious, collaborate actively and draw on the experience and expertise available within the KE community.
The programme was hosted by Vinisha H Menezes, whose engaging and humorous style kept the evening lively and interactive. It concluded with a vote of thanks by Tulika, who expressed appreciation to the speaker, organisers, members and guests for their participation and contribution to the programme.
Beyond the formal session, the event provided members with an opportunity to exchange perspectives, develop new connections and explore potential areas of collaboration, reinforcing KE Dubai’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurship and collective learning within the community.
