KE WE Exclusive: Enhancing Social Media & Visibility

Kanara Entrepreneurs (KE) had their quarterly Women’s Exclusive Meet followed by active networking with the KE Lead Members on Friday May 17th, 2024 at The Grand Magrath, Bangalore. In keeping with the KE Women Entrepreneurs (KE WE) vision to develop professional skills, this meeting focused on Social Media & Visibility for Women Business Owners.
With Shelma Furtal leading the KE Prayer, the meeting went on to set the tone with a hilarious and fun twist on Chinese Whispers as the ice breaker activity. Members had to enact and convey a story-plot to the next person who had to keep the message going – with minimal-to-none distortions. The importance of proper and seamless messaging was established as the agenda as the women gleefully spotted aberrations and were bent over laughing at the final message! Zeeta D’souza got the women laughing at her elaborately distorted message that firmly concluded the need for proper, deliberate and structured messaging for businesses.
Luvena Rangel (The Curvy Yogi), Lead, KE WE, lead delivered the main session on Social Media and Visibility with strong skill and subject matter expertise in delivering the objectives with fluency. The session involved introductory basics of Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn as well as an overview of YouTube and X for business. Members were able to assess their brand identity, nature of business and the most suitable platform to utilize for their industry.
Luvena’s forte in communication, experience in Global Branding & Marketing as well as having been the India Chairperson for ALL – All Ladies League – Social Media gave her the ease to understand and express varied business needs. The KE network further added to her familiarity with member businesses and styles to give more applicable and valid examples – a point almost every attending member appreciated.
The session, emceed by the very focused Uma M, closed on a high note with members pledging to share their business socials on the KE WE WhatsApp groups and to build their online presence with the ‘Like – Comment – Repost’ protocol.
The KE WE session segued into a very productive networking session with the KE Lead Members over dinner with a clear task for each member to interact with at least three Lead Members. They were further encouraged by Pramod D’souza, KE Director Mentoring, to connect with as many KE Members on LinkedIn as possible and take the learning and experience to the next level.
The efforts of the KE WE Executive Committee (Carol Dsouza, Charmaine Saldanha, Reena Serrao, Uma M) to call every KE WE member needs to be commended. Many thanks to the continued support from Claudius Pereira, KE President, and Board of Directors for believing in the power of pushing KE WE to their highest potential and making spaces accessible towards that goal. The KE WE Core Committee (Leena Lobo, Luvena Rangel, Rachna Rego, Reshma Saldhana & Sabitha Lasrado) vision and ideation has been extremely supportive.
