Kanara Entrepreneurs Dubai (KE Dubai) hosted its third Business Breakfast Meet of the year on Saturday, 11 July 2026, bringing members together for a morning of networking, collaboration and meaningful business discussions. The members-only gathering reflected KE Dubai’s continued commitment to fostering valuable relationships and strengthening connections within its growing business community.
Held at Thalassery Restaurant in Karama, the event welcomed 22 KE Dubai members. The session was moderated by KE Dubai member Avil Pinto, who facilitated the discussions and member interactions throughout the morning.
The gathering commenced with a welcome address by Ivan Fernandes, Chairman of KE Global, who highlighted the importance of creating opportunities for members to connect, exchange ideas and learn from one another. He noted that the Business Breakfast Meet continues to serve as a valuable platform for professional growth and community building.
The highlight of the event was an insightful address by veteran management and marketing consultant, author and business advisor Walter Vieira. Drawing on his extensive professional experience and entrepreneurial journey, Mr. Vieira shared practical insights into the realities, challenges and mindset required to build and sustain a successful business.
Five Key Lessons for Entrepreneurs
- The Ability to Take Risks: Entrepreneurship requires the courage to embrace uncertainty and make calculated decisions even when outcomes are not guaranteed. Thoughtful risk-taking is essential for growth and innovation.
- Faith in Oneself: Self-belief is fundamental to entrepreneurial success. Even when external validation is limited, entrepreneurs must remain confident in their vision, judgement and ability to overcome challenges.
- The DTI Framework: Doer, Thinker, Integrator: Successful entrepreneurs must balance three critical roles: executing ideas as a Doer, developing strategies as a Thinker, and bringing people and resources together as an Integrator. Combining these roles enables leaders to build resilient and sustainable businesses.
- The Ability to Adapt and Adjust Living Standards: A particularly relevant message was the importance of adaptability. Entrepreneurs may move from stable careers into periods of financial uncertainty, and the willingness to adjust one’s lifestyle and remain resilient during difficult times is essential for long-term success.
- Aptitude and Attitude: Technical competence alone is not enough. Success also depends on a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and the determination to persevere through setbacks.
Mr. Vieira concluded his address by emphasising that true wealth and lasting success are rooted in humility. Referring to the example of distinguished business leaders such as J. R. D. Tata, he observed that the most accomplished individuals are often those who remain grounded, approachable and committed to creating value beyond business success.
The Business Breakfast Meet concluded with members continuing their conversations, expanding their professional networks and strengthening connections within the KE Dubai community.
KE Dubai extends its sincere appreciation to its Board of Directors, mentors, lead members and all participants for their continued support and commitment to the organisation’s vision of empowering entrepreneurs and businesses through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
