Sanjay Swamy (@theswamy) is the Co-founder and Managing Partner at Prime (previously Angel Prime), a seed-stage VC firm based out of Bangalore. Sanjay leads the charge on helping shape companies on mobile payments & applications, financial services and has invested in companies like ZipDial (acquired by Twitter), Niyo, KredX, Ezetap, Happay, Mygate and mFine. Prior to Prime, Sanjay was a full-time volunteer on Aadhaar (Unique ID project) where he worked on the authentication platform and its related services. Earlier he was the CEO of mChek, a pioneer in mobile payments provider to over 300M users across various networks.

With over 10 years of experience in Silicon Valley, he has worked extensively with  various industries, in North America & Europe. Sanjay along with T.N. Hari recently authored ‘ Sailing through a Storm’. Sanjay is a firm believer that downturns are huge opportunities for disproportionate wealth creation through entrepreneurship.
