KE BLR Founders’ Fiesta by Mr. Ivor Misquith & Key to Valuation: Deon Gomes

The Founders’ Fiesta on August 9th 2025 at Catholic Club was unlike a typical success story. KE member, Mr. Ivor Misquith, Founder of Indorient Financial Services, made it interactive with quizzes and audience participation, making the session lively and engaging.
Ivor shared his journey from a challenging childhood—caring for his family and childhood cricket experiences—to his passion for football. He explained his decision to pursue Chartered Accountancy, emphasizing the role of “divine intervention,” and recounted his early career struggles with tedious paperwork, which he believed wasn’t valuable.

A pivotal moment was his move to London, where cultural differences shaped his discipline. Returning to India, he rose through Morgan Stanley’s ranks, eventually leading Asia Operations. His proactive approach transformed him from an introvert to a confident achiever, inspiring entrepreneurs to forge their own paths.

Ivor’s current role as Founder of Indorient highlighted the importance of networks and domain-specific strategies. He shared 12 key principles for success in both personal and professional life. The session concluded with a light overview of valuation concepts, illustrated with simple examples, and was capped with a memento for Ivor.
