KE Dubai successfully hosted its fourth Morning Breakfast Meet & Greet of the year on Aug 16, 2025 bringing together members for a morning of insightful discussions, meaningful networking, and community collaboration.

The event was held at Winny’s Restaurant in Karama, Dubai, and was attended by over 35 members of the KE community. The session was skillfully hosted by Venzil, an active and enthusiastic KE Dubai member, who set an energetic tone and encouraged lively exchanges throughout the morning.

Proceedings began with a warm welcome for new members, giving attendees the opportunity to introduce themselves and share their personal and professional journeys. This created a strong atmosphere of inclusivity, learning, and connection.

The highlight of the morning was a Masterclass on NRI Taxation, led by CA Arun Vaz, along with Nilesh Menezes and Abhay Champanerkar. The session addressed key taxation issues facing Non-Resident Indians, including:

• New compliance requirements and stricter data-matching processes
• Common reasons NRIs receive tax notices despite compliance efforts
• Penalties and fees associated with missed steps in filing
• Income limits for tax filing in India
• Investment opportunities through Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City)
• Benefits under the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA)

The session provided valuable insights for members, equipping them with practical knowledge to navigate today’s evolving taxation landscape.
