KE helps Entrepreneurs up-skill through a day-long program in Bengaluru
Kanara Entrepreneurs (KE), a not-for-profit mutual-benefit networking organisation with aim of nurturing entrepreneurs, conducted a day-long program for entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs, on Saturday, 27th July, 2024.
The program titled, ‘Entrepreneurship Development Programme’ or ‘EDP’ was attended by more than 75 entrepreneurs and focused on up-skilling through various topics including – Building a Great Team, Digital Marketing, Finance for Entrepreneurs & Leaders, Art of Selling and Raising Funds for the business.
Luvena Rangel, KE Member, who was an emcee for the event started with a prayer and also welcomed the participants. Charles Gomes, KE Bangalore Chapter Founder-President and CEO CAD Pharma, was the keynote speaker. He mentioned that passion and courage are the two must-haves for anyone to be successful in entrepreneurship. While other aspects of business including a business idea, business plan and execution are also important.
Other speakers who imparted their knowledge include Kiran Veigas – GM & Head – Corporate Marketing & Communications – Happiest Minds, Rohit Fernandes, Co-Founder & CEO, Brands of Bharat, CA Jasmine Pinto, Cofounder & Partner at Finzcurve, Sunil Attavar, Chairman & MD, Group Pharmaceuticals and Pramod DSouza, Co-Founder, Eagle10 Ventures.
The EDP curriculum focused on Building Great Teams, Digital Marketing, Importance of Finance for Entrepreneurs for management level key decisions, Raising Capital from investors through equity route or through debt and the Art of Selling.
Claudius Pereira, President of KE Bangalore Chapter summarised all the learnings and takeaways with pertinent stories narrating the importance of action when opportunities are clearly visible and up for grabs.
Eugene Mathias, KE Lead Member delivers the vote of thanks and acknowledged the KE Board for organising the program as part of its mentoring initiative.
The day long programme started at 9am and concluded at 5pm. Dr Shruti Srinivasan, Professor of Entrepreneurship at Christ University, attended the program along with a few students who are aspiring to be entrepreneurs. She applauded the initiative and is looking forward to having more collaborations with KE to help the industry connect with students at Christ University.
